Vermont Discovery Cruises
FAQs - Before Your Cruise

Age Requirements

Is there an age requirement for passengers?

Our public vacations are designed for adults to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing cruise. Those chartering the boat for private functions are welcome to include all ages.

Accessibility

Is the Moonlight Lady accessible?

Due to the ship's design, the Moonlight Lady is not handicapped accessible. It is required that all guests are physically fit to travel and able to climb stairways without assistance. The Moonlight Lady does not have an elevator. Vermont Discovery Cruises reserves the right to refuse any guest who is not self-sufficient, or traveling with a companion who shall take sole responsibility for any assistance needed during the voyage and in case of emergency.

What to Pack

Casual attire is perfectly acceptable on the cruise and in any ports as well. Consider bringing some warm layers for cool mornings and evenings. We suggest you bring the following: rubber soled shoes to wear on the boat, comfortable walking shoes, rain jacket, hat, camera, binoculars and sunscreen.

Are there restrictions to what I may bring on-board?

Luggage:
Due to limited storage space, we suggest that you limit your luggage to one or two small suitcases per person. There are drawers designed to hold your clothing, located under the beds in each cabin. Your luggage will be stored on the Admiral Deck.
Alcohol:
Per Vermont State Law, carry-on alcohol for the purpose of personal consumption while on board the boat is not permitted. Alcohol purchased during any shore excursion will be stored and retained by Vermont Discovery Cruises and returned to the purchaser at the end of the trip.
Food:
As the Moonlight Lady is a licensed restaurant, by Vermont State Law, it is illegal to bring on your own food. Our chef will do everything possible to accommodate your special tastes and diets.
Weapons:
No weapons or firearms are permitted on board.
Additional Restricted Items:
Per U.S. Coast Guard regulations, no illegal substances may be brought on board. Pets, including aid dogs, are not allowed aboard the Moonlight Lady.
